The Most Fun place on Lake Texoma
Lake Texoma's most popular sandy beach, open every day from 9am to sunset. Seven bucks gets you in. Kids seven and under are free.
90 minutes from Dallas
Island View is the day-trip beach for North Texas. Ninety minutes from Dallas you're on real sand with a swim area, picnic tables beneath covered shelters, grills, a volleyball court, outdoor showers and changing rooms, and a store for the things you forgot. Kayaks and paddleboards rent by the hour right off the beach.
It's also a birder's secret: the shoreline and coves here see hundreds of species through the year, and eagles in winter. Come early on summer weekends — the best shade goes first.

Swim and sun, claim a shady shelter, or get out on the water. Everything can be ready before you arrive.
$7 per person; kids seven and under are free. Guests 18 and older can purchase passes online before arriving; younger guests are welcome when appropriately accompanied. Show your pass at the gate when you arrive. TAP members get in free all year.

Reserve a covered shelter with a picnic table for 6–10 and a charcoal grill for $40 a day — the move for birthdays and family cookouts. Reservation only; they sell out on holiday weekends.

Singles $25 an hour, doubles $40, paddleboards $25. Paddle the calm cove and around the point. Guided paddles for groups run about 90 minutes; solo paddlers must be 8 or older.
